Materials & Origins - should always know!

100% British Wool
We use pure British wool for its enduring quality and character. Sourced from flocks across Yorkshire, it embodies centuries of textile tradition. Naturally warm, breathable, and resilient, it is both renewable and rooted in the landscapes and craftsmanship that inspire our work.
The wool is both non-museling certified and REACH certified.
Bemberg Cupro Lining
Our lining is crafted from Bemberg Cupro, a fibre made from waste cotton linter. Renowned for its silky hand and breathable comfort, it allows the coat to move with ease. Lightweight, anti-static, and biodegradable, it combines elegance with responsibility — the perfect complement to a garment made to last.
The lining is OEKOTEX 100 Standard, RCS, GOTS and Better Cotton Initiative certified.
Bioresin Buttons
Our buttons are made from bioresin, a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics. Derived from plant-based sources, they offer strength and durability while reducing reliance on petrochemicals. With a natural depth of finish and refined tactility, they embody our belief that every detail should reflect both craftsmanship and responsibility.
“Bioresin” collection are made from a new bio-based material – “BioRec”. It is an unsaturated-polyester material, which is produced using more than 25% of fruit and vegetable waste. Therefore, the material reduces the carbon footprint by approximately 25% compared to regular polyester buttons.
A Note on Materials
Our ambition is for every part of this garment to return gracefully to the earth at the end of its life. But in this instance, we have used polyester woven labels, printed poly satin labels, and polyester thread — choices made to ensure strength and longevity through wear. These details remain while we continue our work to find accessible, biodegradable alternatives worthy of the standards we set for our craft alongside our limited volumes.

Care Instructions - need to know!
Be aware! This is a delicate garment, please take care.
1. Preserve the shape by always hanging on a hanger.
2. Do not steam. Dry Clean Only.
3. Shrinkage may occur in very damp, wet environments.
4. Do not iron. It's heavy, hanging with buttons fastened will allow wrinkles to fall out within 24hours.
This garment has been crafted from natural fibres and deserves thoughtful care to preserve its character.
We recommend professional dry cleaning only, using an experienced cleaner familiar with fine wool.
Between wears, allow the coat to rest and breathe, and store it on a broad wooden hanger to maintain its shape.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or damp conditions. Should the fabric become lightly marked, gently brush with a soft clothes brush.
With careful stewardship, this coat will age gracefully and serve for many seasons to come.

Why We Use a Pre-Order System
We have chosen a pre-order model to ensure each garment is made to order, reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship, and quality. Every order is carefully produced and fulfilled within 4-5 weeks before being dispatched, allowing us to maintain the attention to detail and finish that our products deserve.
This approach also helps us minimise waste by producing only what has been ordered, rather than large unsold inventory. It allows us to manage limited runs of exclusive fabrics, linings, and finishes, ensuring that every piece remains special and that materials are used responsibly. By pre-ordering, you are part of a system that values thoughtful production, reduces overstock, and supports the longevity and quality of every garment.
